The security forces killed a Taliban commander and his six fighters during a clash in northern Faryab province.

The 209th Shaheen Corps in a statement said the security forces clashed with Taliban militants in Nawdara Village of Qaisar district.

The statement further added that the security forces killed Taliban commander Mullah Abdul Shakoor and his six fighters during the clash.

Furthermore, the 209th Shaheen Corps said the security forces also wounded 14 Taliban militants during the same clash.

Meanwhile, the 209th Shaheen Corps said a member of the security forces also lost his life during the clash and 7 others sustained injuries.
