As conflicts between the resistance forces in Panjshir province and the Taliban have been going on for nearly a week, the latter has claimed to have taken the districts of Shutul, Paryan, Khinj, and Abshar.

The anti-Taliban forces on the other hand denied the capture of districts and added to have beleaguered the Taliban fighters and have inflicted casualties to them.

Officials of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan say that in addition to the four districts, their fighters are now busy fighting in the central areas of Onaba district.

Since the telecommunication services have been blocked in Panjshir province, it has become a challenge for the media to confirm claims of the sides from the province.

Panjshir is now the only defiant geography that is yet to come under the Taliban’s control.

Former first vice-president Amrullah Saleh and one of the leading commanders of the anti-Taliban resistance in Panjshir province said that the situation is too tough but added that they will not give up.

He confirmed casualties to both sides as a result of the ongoing conflicts.

Heavy conflicts between the warring sides in Panjshri province intensified after the Taliban said that the negotiations with tribal elders of the province went in vain and were inconclusive.
