The Taliban Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned Israel’s “brutal” attacks on Gaza, calling on the international community to prevent Israel’s “atrocities & aggression”.

According to the Taliban’s Foreign Ministry statement, the international community should prevent Israel’s attack on “innocent” and “defenseless” Muslims of the Gaza enclave of Palestine.

Abdul Qahar Balkhi, the spokesperson in a tweet, on Saturday, outlined the Taliban’s stance on the immediate halt to Israeli attacks.

Israel conducted a series of airstrikes on the Gaza Strip in Palestine and Gaza City on Friday, August 5, and the Agence France Presse reported that the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine launched rockets at Israel today.

Israel’s strike on Friday resulted in the death of a senior commander of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, sparking the conflict, according to international media.

There were no reports of any casualties despite the fact that Gaza militants continued to fire rounds of rockets into Israel every half hour.

According to reports from the Gaza Strip, at least 9 individuals were killed and 44 were wounded by Israeli airstrikes.

Israel has defended its attacks, stating that their mission is to combat the Islamic Jihad group, and asserted that yesterday’s attacks resulted in the deaths of 15 militants who belonged to that group.
