According to local authorities in northern Parwan province of Afghanistan, at least eight people were killed or injured following a roadside improvised explosive (IED) blast.
Provincial security chief Abdul Rahman Sarjang confirming the report said the incident took place early Tuesday morning around 2am local time after a remote controlled IED went off near Qarabagh district located close to capital Kabul.
Mr. Sarjang further added the vehicle of Afghan Wireless Afghan Wirelss Communication (AWCC) managing director Amin Ramin was the target of the explosion.
He said Amin Ramin survived the incident however his five bodyguards were killed and three others were injured.
Taliban group claimed responsibility behind the incident and said the target of the explosion was US troops who were crossing the area.
