MilitantsTwo groups of rebels belonging to Taliban and Hezb-i-Islami have fought with each other in Maidan Wardak province leaving Taliban’s intelligence chief for Narkh District killed.

A statement issued by Maidan Wardak Province Media & Information Center (MWP media center) states that the incident took place in Karimdad area of Narkh District last night.

Cause of the clash is not identified.

The statement adds that two Taliban insurgents were also killed during security operation in Tukrak area of Narkh District last night.

According to the statement three AK47 and three transmission sets belonging to the insurgents killed were also seized by the security forces.

Security forces and civilians have not suffered casualties during the operation, the statement adds.
