The Taliban allegedly arrested the head of the Jangan education center in the provincial capital of Daikundi, in the center of Afghanistan, Nili City, three days ago. Both his whereabouts and his fate remain unknown.

According to domestic media reports, Qambar Salari, the head of the Jangan education facility, was arrested by the Taliban three days ago for an undisclosed reason.

Salari was reportedly taken into custody three days ago, and his family is not allowed to visit him.

According to the reports, the Taliban arrestee, Salari, is a prominent member of the Daikundi civil society, and a resident of Daikundi province’s Ishtarlay district.

He has been a vocal supporter of Afghan women’s rights, women’s protests, and the campaign and protests to cease the “genocide” of the Hazara people in Afghanistan.

The Taliban security officials have not yet responded to the call for comments on the matter.

This comes following the explosion attack in the Kaaj education center in Kabul, the Afghan capital, which killed 57 students and injured another 114. The explosion sparked a widespread Twitter campaign, “#StopHazaraGenocide”, as well as demonstrations in different provinces of Afghanistan and 91 cities around the world.
