Tajikistan’s State National Security Committee arrested nine individuals suspected of connections to the perpetrators of the Russian concert hall shooting and Daesh-Khorasan, as per Reuters.

The nine suspects were apprehended in Vakhdat on Monday and have been transported to the capital, Dushanbe, according to Reuters, citing a Tajik security source.

The attack on Crocus City Hall near Moscow last Friday resulted in the deaths of at least 140 individuals, with 182 others sustaining injuries.

Following the deadly incident, Russian authorities launched a thorough investigation into the attack to apprehend all involved parties and prevent future threats to public safety.

Moscow’s Crocus City Hall has since tightened security measures, and authorities are working closely with international partners to address security concerns and prevent similar attacks.

Meanwhile, Measures such as increased surveillance and intelligence gathering have been implemented to thwart potential threats.

Moreover, amidst rising tensions with Ukraine, Russian officials have expressed concerns about potential links between extremist groups operating in Ukraine and those responsible for the Moscow concert hall attack.

Heightened border security measures have been put in place to prevent the infiltration of individuals with extremist ideologies from neighboring countries.
