Afghan armyAt least six Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers were killed following an attack by Taliban militants in western Badghis povince of Afghanistan.

Local security officials said the attack was carried on a military check post in Bala Murghab district on Monday night.

An Afghan National Army official in Badghis province said the attack was possibly carried out with the help of an Afghan national army soldier.

Commander of the 207 Zafar Military Corps, Gen. Dawood Shah said all soldiers in the check post were killed except one soldier who is missing following the attack.

Gen. Dawood Shah further added that the Taliban militants have taken with them all the weapons and ammunition belonging to the Afghan soldiers.

The Taliban group has not commented regarding the report so far.
