The Afghan Ministry of National Defense said on Tuesday that a Super Tucano A-29 aircraft had been repaired and was ready for operation.
A group of expert technicians from the Mazar-e-Sharif Air Brigade completed the restoration, demonstrating the expanding capacity and independence of the Afghan defence forces.
Meanwhile, the team ensure the operational readiness of its fleet of light attack aircraft.
“With the persistent efforts of the engineering team of the Mazar-e-Sharif Air Brigade, the aircraft was ready to fly,” said the ministry.
According to the ministry, the Mazar-e-Sharif Air Brigade experts have successfully fixed several Super Tucano A-29 aircraft that foreign soldiers damaged during the US pullout.
The Super Tucano A-29 aircraft’s successful repair and restoration represent a crucial turning point for the defence capability.
It also emphasizes the value of spending money on technical know-how, education, and infrastructure to guarantee ongoing aircraft maintenance and operational readiness.
