Suicide bombers attack Afghan army bus in Herat province

640x392_39377_234444According to local authorities in western Herat province of Afghanistan, at least three Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers were injured following suicide attack in this province.

The officials further added that the incident took place on Monday afternoon near Herat airport.

A local security official in Herat province said the attack was carried out by three suicide bombers who initially opened fire on Afghan army vehicle.

He said one of the suicide bombers detonated hid explosives near the vehicle of the Afghan army which triggered gun battle and left three soldiers injured.

No group including the Taliban militants has so far claimed responsibility behind the attack.
