A security official said at least 26 recruits were killed and 27 others were wounded after a suicide bomber detonated his explosives outside the police academy.
The official speaking on the condition of anonymity further added that the suicide bomber had disguised in police uniform and carried out the attack after placing himself among the police academy recruits.
Tonight’s incident in capital Kabul comes almost a day after a suicide bomber left at least 15 dead and nearly 400 others injured.
The are fears that the death toll could rise with eyewitnesses in the area saying the suicide bomber detonated his explosives among the cadets of the academy.
The security officials have not commented regarding the incident so far.
