Suicide blast in Uruzgan kill or injure Afghan 7 civilians

At least 7 Afghan civilians were killed or injured following a suicide bomb blast in southern Uruzgan province of Afghanistan on Saturday.

According to local authorities the incident took place around 3:30 pm local time in a market place in Dehrawud district near the security commandment.

Provincial security chief spokesman Farid Ayel confirming the report said the explosion took place after a suicide bomber detonated explosives packed in a vehicle.

He said Afghan police forces had recognized the suspected suicide bomber and ordered him to stop the vehicle before he detonate the explosives.

Farid Ayel said at least 3 Afghan civilians were killed and 4 others including 2 children were injured following the blast.

This comes as at least 10 Afghan civilians were killed and 8 others were injured following a roadside bomb explosion in Dehrawud district last Wednesday.

No group including the Taliban militants has so far claimed responsibility behind the incident.
