clashes in UruzganAt least 11 people were killed or injured following a string of explosions in southern Uruzgan province of Afghanistan.

According to local government officials, at least 7 people were killed and 4 others were injured following the explosions which took place in Charcheno district.

A spokesman for the provincial police department, Farid Ayel said at least 3 people were killed and another civilian was injured after a motorcycle struck with a roadside bomb.

Mr. Ayel further added that four civilians including children were and three others were injured following three separate explosions in the same area.

No group including the Taliban militants has so far claimed responsibility behind the incident.

In the meantime president Hamid Karzai strongly condemned the bombings and called it as un-Islamic and against the humanity.
