The Afghan Special Forces foiled the militants bid to detonate an improvised explosive device close to a school in Kabul.

According to a statement released by Special Operations Corps, the Special Forces discovered a remote-controlled improvised explosive device which the militants had planted close to Olya-e Reshkhor High School.

The statement further added that the Special Forces defused the bomb at around 6 am local time today.

The anti-government armed militants including Taliban have not commented in this regard so far.

The Taliban group and other militants frequently use improvised explosive devices to target the security forces and government staff but majority of such attacks inflict casualties on civilians.
