US embassy in Kabul announced the eight individuals and organizations that will receive the International Trade Administration’s inaugural Peace through Commerce Medal Award.
SMN Investment chaired by Syed Sadat Mansoor Naderi is among the winners of the four international organizations.
The four international organizations among the 8 winners of the Peace Through Commerce Award include two private enterprises and 2 Chambers of Commerce from Afghanistn, Singapore, Japan and Romania.
The Peace through Commerce Medal dates back to the first Secretary of State, Thomas Jefferson, who commissioned the medal in 1790. Jefferson gifted the medal, formerly known as the Diplomatic Medal, to foreign diplomats who aided the Continental Congress during the American Revolution. The medal is most renowned for its inscription, To Peace and Commerce, centered along the top.

As far as the media is concerned good news is no news for Afghanistan and bad news and shocking news is good news for the people in Afghanistan . The people are fed-up and bored with the news papers and nearly stopped reading them but the news papers are doing much better job for insurgents and anti government elements and NATO in the country for printing and publishing horror stories or road side bombing and suicide bombing and mass murder on daily basis in the country . This is a war of propaganda and the media is responsible for the escalation of misery in Afghanistan .
