Six armed men have been killed in a clash with security forces in eastern Nooristan province, an official said on Saturday.
According to the security official, the group had just arrived in Kamdish district from across the Durand Line.
Two members of the group also sustained injuries in the exchange of fire last night, the official added.
He said the armed men were members of Taliban group, however, the group’s spokesperson has not yet commented on the report.
Nooristan which is on the border with Pakistan is one of the comparatively restive areas of Afghanistan where Taliban are actively operating.
