At least six Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers were wounded in an explosion in Kabul city today, the defense authorities confirmed.

According to a statement by the Ministry of Defense (MoD), the incident took place at around 7:30 am local time in Millie Bus Road located in the 16th police district of the city.

The statement further added that two magnetic bombs planted in a electricity pylon went off as the Afghan armed forces were crossing the area.

The Ministry of Defense said the six have sustained minor injuries in the explosion.

This comes as the Ministry of Public Health officials had earlier said that three wounded people have been transferred to the hospital for the treatment.

The anti-government armed groups are attempting to carry out attacks in the key provinces and cities of the country during the recent months.

At least thirteen people were killed or wounded after an improvised explosive device was detonated near a sit-in camp in Chama Huzori area of the city nearly two weeks ago.
