At least three people are killed and three others injured when a person opened fire at bowling alley in Rockford, Illinois, on Saturday night, Police told NBC news.
According to police a suspect was caught and is under custody, among the injured are teenagers, and the motive behind the attack is unknown, Rockford police Chief Daniel G. O’Shea told NBC.
She said “We believe it’s random” in regards to the incident, police called the incident “active shooter investigation”.
Rockford police tweeted, “Suspect is in custody. This is an active and ongoing investigation”.
The Rockford police chief said that they are determining what happened at Don Carter Lanes, as victims were found both inside and outside of the building.
Rock ford police recently said in a tweet that a “37-year-old white male suspect is in custody. There are no others being sought at this time. Media briefing will be tomorrow 12/27 at 9:30 a.m. at Rockford Police District 3, 557 S. New Towne Drive”.
Reports indicate three of the survivors are being treated for their injuries.
