A sharp shooter has been arrested for attempting to attack the Indian film star Salman Khan over his alleged involvement in blackbuck case.

The Haryana police have reportedly informed the Mumbai police regarding the plot by certain Rajasthan gangs to carry out an attack on the film star.

The Mumbai Police has beefed up security of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan after they were alerted by the Special Task Force (STF) of Haryana Police about danger to the actor, according to Times of India.

Deadly gangster Lawrence Bishnoi of Rajasthan, was supposed to be behind the threat to the star due to his alleged involvement in the black buck case. This was revealed by Bishnoi’s ally Sampat Nehra who is a sharp shooter.

Nehra who had done a recce of the actor’s movements and was planning the crime over the past few months was arrested by the Haryana Police last Wednesday.

This comes as Khan was sentenced to five years in jail by a court in Rajasthan state of India nearly two and half months ago.

He was found guilty of killing blackbuck while on a film shoot in Rajasthan around twenty years ago.
