Officials in Parwan said, at least five rockets hit Bagram airbase on Saturday morning.

Bagram is a Major US airbase in Afghanistan, Wahid shahkar, spokesman to Parwan governor told media, that unknown shooters hit several rockets on the base.

According to Shahkar, insurgents planned to fire 12 on the base but were only able to shoot off five rockets.

The rockets were fired from the Qalandarkhil area in Parwan province, the incident happened at around 6:30 am this morning.

Shahkar indicated, a 10 BM-12 rockets were planted on a truck, which fired five rockets but others were foiled by the police before being shot.

Currently, there are no detailed reports on the damages inflicted to the base.

Taliban have not yet commented on the incident, and no group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
