At least one Afghan police officer was killed and another one was injured following a suicide attack in southern Helmand province of Afghanistan.
Ahmad Askari, spokesman for the provincial security commandment confirming the report said, the incident took place late Wednesday night in Marjah district.
Mr. Askari further added that the suicide bomber attacked a security check post in Marjah district, which left one police service member dead and another office injured.
In the meantime, local officials in southern Kandahar province of Afghanistan said at least four civilians were killed following a roadside improvised explosive device (IED) explosion on Wednesday.
Panjwai district chief Fazal Ahmad Ishaqzai confirming the report said the incident took place on Wednesday afternoon in Panjwai district after a motorcycle struck with a roadside bomb.
Mr. Ishaqzai further added that the victims of the incident belong to the same family.
No group including the Taliban militants has so far claimed responsibility behind the incident.
