ANP has arrested 11 individuals over charges of murder, armed robbery and carrying illegal weapon in Herat, Kandahar, Logar & Takhar provinces, Oct. 26, 2020.

Afghanistan – Afghan National Police have arrested at least 11 suspects over multiple charges in several operations in Afghanistan, the Ministry of Interior Affairs said Monday.

Officials did not provide further details on the identities of the suspects, but said their cases have been introduced to relevant authorities for further investigation.

“ANP has arrested 11 individuals on charges of murder, armed robbery & carrying illegal weapon in Herat, Kandahar, Logar & Takhar provinces,” said MoIA in a tweet. “The arrestees’ files have been referred for further investigation to the related departments.”

Arrest came at a time the country has tightened its security measures amid various threats throughout Afghanistan, including armed robberies and kidnappings.
