At least three people were wounded during an international event, according to officials, holding WWI memorial in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The explosive device hit when several representatives of countries were present at the event on Wednesday; the non-Muslim dead cemetery was packed with foreign diplomats.

A Greek national was among the four injured in the described “cowardly” attack, according to the British government. One UK national also suffered minor injuries.

State media stressed that the security situation in the area is under control and stable.

There are no immediate claim or motive of the attack reported.

It was the second attack in two weeks on the French diplomatic mission in Jeddah.

Previously a man was arrested for stabbing a guard at the French consulate with a sharp tool, Saudi state media reported.
