The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has condemned the bombing of Farmer’s Day celebrations in Lashkargah city, the provincial capital of Helmand province.

“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), strongly, denounced and disapproved two attacks, that took place, in the Somali capital of Mogadishu and Lashkarkah town, Southern Afghanistan, resulting in deaths and injuries,” the official Saudi Press Agency reported, citing a statement released by an official source, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia.

The source offered condolences and consolation to the families of the victims and the two governments of Somalia and Afghanistan, wishing the injured speedy recovery and reiterating, coincidently, the KSA taking the side of the two brethren countries and solidarity with them against all manifestations of violence, extremism and terrorism.

The Taliban militants group claimed responsibility for the attack.

According to local officials, at least 3 people were killed and a dozen more were wounded in yesterday’s back to back explosion.
