With his Eid release, Salman Khan is back on the big screen for the first time in four years.
Over the years, high-profile films starring Bollywood superstar Salman Khan have come out around the Eid season.
With his action drama Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, actor Salman Khan first appears in a major motion picture during the Eid season in four years. The movie, directed by Farhad Samjhi, is claimed to be partially based on Veeram, the 2014 Tamil blockbuster starring Ajith.
All eyes are on the reviews for Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and how the movie will perform at the box office, which has not been kind to formula fare except for Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, in which Salman appeared in a cameo.
Trade predicts that because tomorrow is India’s festival (Eid-u-Fitr, which will celebrate on 22 April in India), the film’s true mettle will be put to the test. Today is the last day of Ramazan in India.
Meanwhile, Tiger 3 will also feature a return for Salman and Shah Rukh.

In Kisi Ka Bhai, the movie’s core premise, in which Salman plays Raghav, Jassie, and Siddharth’s elder brother, was hinted at in the Kisi Ki Jaan teaser. His three brothers do everything they can to arrange for his marriage so that they can all get married. Salman’s character eventually develops feelings for Bhagyalaxmi (Pooja Hegde), whose family is threatened by a crime lord.
