Pakistan’s foreign ministry in a communiqué reacted to the latest Twitter post of Vice-president Amrullah Saleh and dubbed it baseless.

The ministry says that Saleh’s allegation has no ground and added that the Pakistan Air Force does not provide any support to the Taliban.

Amrullah Saleh only hours after the communiqué by Pakistan foreign ministry reacted in a tweet and said that Pakistan for over 20 years has denied the existence of Quetta Shura or the presence of Taliban leaders on its soil.

Saleh’s Twitter further reads that these statements of denial by Pakistan are just pre-written paragraphs.

The statement released by Pakistan’s foreign ministry reads that the Afghan side had conveyed to Pakistan its intention of carrying out an air operation inside its territory in Chaman which was answered positively by Pakistan.

Amrullah Saleh in his yesterday’s Twitter post claimed that Pakistan Air Force has issued a warning to the Afghan army and air force that any move to dislodge the Taliban from Spin Boldak will be repelled by Pakistan Air Force.

Pakistan says that its Air Force has never communicated anything to the Afghan Air Force and such statements-by Amrullah Saleh- undermines Pakistan’s sincere efforts to play its role in Afghan-owned and Afghan-led solution.
