The Russian Embassy in Kabul, in a ceremony attended by several Taliban officials, ambassadors, and senior diplomats, honored “Russia’s National Day” in Kabul and emphasized the improvement of relations in various sectors, particularly in trade and economy in Afghanistan.

This ceremony, held on Tuesday, June 11, was attended by high-ranking Taliban officials, ambassadors, senior diplomats of foreign countries, scholars, cultural figures, media officials, and several other personalities at the Russian Embassy building in Kabul.

During the event, the acting Minister of Commerce and the Russian Ambassador addressed the audience, and finally, the guests were treated to a lunch reception.

They stressed the importance of improving relations in various sectors, especially in trade and economy.

Russia’s National Day is one of the major celebrations in the country’s calendar and an opportunity for Russian citizens to participate in special cultural and recreational programs.

Russia is one of the few powerful countries in the world that has had good relations with Afghanistan, and lately, it has strengthened its ties with the Taliban goverment, fostering closer relations than ever in various fields. It is expected that bilateral cooperation will soon increase in various political and economic sectors.
