Russia’s embassy based in Kabul in a press release justified the ongoing “operations” in Ukraine and said that they aim to protect innocent people, carry out disarmament, and to fight Nazism in Ukraine and has added that the “operation” is legitimate.

A copy of the press release that is seen by Khaama Press reads that since the transformation of the quasi coup regime that took place in 2014 backed by the west, the ideology of neo-Nazism has developed in the country. Further, the rights of Russian-speaking people have been violated and genocide is going on in Ukraine.

The press release also claims that the republics of Donetsk and Luhansk that were declared in 2014 have been subject to constant fires and have been besieged by Ukraine in the past eight years.

Over 14 thousand people of the two republics have been killed during the past eight years thus, they needed to be protected and defended by Russia.

“Russia’s operations in Ukraine are in accordance with article 7 item number 51 of the convention of the UN and have also been ratified by the Russian parliament. Russia is implementing a request made by Donetsk and Luhansk.” Reads the statement.

The statement has defended the ongoing operation saying the Russian forces only target military bases and infrastructure of Ukraine but accused Ukraine forces of creating their firing wall behind schools, kindergartens, and other civil infrastructures.

“Russian side is doing its best to protect lives of civilian people in the war. We have been ready for humanitarian corridors both for Ukrainian civilians and citizens of other countries in Ukrainian cities. To evacuate Chinese, Indian, African, and Asian students from Kharkiv city, Russian forces have prepared 150 buses.”

Pointing at war in Afghanistan, the Kabul-based Russia’s embassy said that the Afghan people are well aware of friendship with the West and Ukraine is now experiencing the friendship.
