
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will meet in Moscow on September 18, as announced by Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) briefing.
“On September 18, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi are holding talks in Moscow,” the diplomat said. “They are due to exchange views on the Ukrainian settlement, as well as on ensuring stability and security in the Asia Pacific Region,” Tass reported.
During their upcoming meeting, Foreign Ministers Lavrov and Wang will address a broad spectrum of bilateral matters, emphasizing high-level communication, according to Zakharova.
This signifies a pivotal diplomatic engagement between Russia and China.
According to the diplomat, the ministers will prioritize enhancing international cooperation, particularly within the UN, BRICS, SCO, G20, APEC, and other forums.
“They are going to pay attention to stronger cooperation in the international arena with an emphasis on joint work in the UN, BRICS, SCO, and naturally, in the G20, APEC and other mechanisms and forums,” she said.
