On Thursday, Kremlin warned about the escalation with the West against providing long-range weapons to Ukraine, capable of attacking Russia.

The warning came when the United States announced that it would gather all its allies at its airbase in Ramstein for a series of discussions on equipping and backing Ukraine’s military.

Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin’s spokesman, “This may be dangerous. It will raise the conflict to a new level, which is not good for global and pan-European security.”

He told the United States that Russia would retaliate if Ukraine used Western-supplied weapons to target Russia or the Crimea peninsula.

He said, alluding to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, “It should become evident to everyone: no matter what weaponry the Americans or NATO provide to the enemy, we will destroy it.”

Separately, former president Dmitry Medvedev warned that a nuclear conflict would result from the West’s continuous support for Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov issued a similar warning last month, urging western nations not to supply Ukraine because doing so would be “a dangerous step towards unacceptable escalation.”

However, Pentagon commanders are in close touch with Ukrainian authorities. According to sources, Aljazeera reported they had provided crucial intelligence that has allowed Ukraine to target Russian troops on land and at sea.
