Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesperson, has assured the reliability of Russia’s aviation system, stating that President Vladimir Putin will not die in an aviation accident.

The Russian news agency TASS reported that Peskov emphasized that Putin would not lose his life in an air accident because their domestic aircraft are “very reliable vehicles.”

The Kremlin spokesperson told reporters, “The President of Russia uses domestic aircraft. These vehicles are very reliable.”

This question about the possibility of Putin being involved in an aviation accident arose after senior officials, including the President of Iran and the Vice President of Malawi, were killed in two separate aviation accidents recently.

During a press conference, when asked about the recent air accidents that claimed the lives of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Malawian Vice President Saulos Chilima, Peskov responded that Putin would not be involved in such incidents.

Meanwhile, the Insider magazine, citing the Jet Airliner Crash Data Evaluation Centre (JACDEC), reported that the number of aviation accidents in Russia doubled in 2023, increasing from 37 in 2022 to 81 in 2023.

Amid these concerns about aviation safety, the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine has further escalated tensions in the region. Both countries have seen a rise in military activities and confrontations, leading to increased instability and international concern.

The conflict, which has been ongoing since Febraury 22, has recently intensified with more frequent clashes and geopolitical maneuvers. This has resulted in significant humanitarian and economic impacts, affecting not only the involved nations but also the broader international community.
