The Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, referring to the escalation of hostilities between Hamas and Israel, stated, “We condemn America’s policies in the Middle East.”

Sergei Ryabkov argues that America is the primary source of the current armed conflicts in many ways.

His remarks come as Antony Blinken and Lloyd Austin, the U.S. Secretary of State and Defense Secretary, travelled to Israel in the past two days.

President Joe Biden also commented on Hamas’s attack on Israel, stating that Washington will always support Israel. He emphasized, “My government’s support for Israel’s security is strong and unwavering.”

On Friday, TASS news agency reported Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov’s concern over the escalating conflict between Palestine and Israel. He emphasized that the United States should avoid meddling in these troubled waters, noting that Washington tends to do so regardless of the circumstances.

This Russian official says that the likelihood of further instability in the region is very high due to the current escalation of conflicts.

Hamas announced last week that it had fired five thousand rockets from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory. Following that, Israeli airstrikes began in the region.

The Israeli Defense Ministry also asked the 1.1 million residents of northern Gaza on Thursday night to evacuate the area within 24 hours. After this deadline, the Israeli army announced that its infantry and tanks had launched attacks inside the borders of the Gaza Strip.
Several nations urged Israel to exercise restraint and abstain from launching a full-scale attack on the Gaza Strip in response to the request. President Vladimir Putin of Russia also issued a cautionary message, highlighting the potentially grave consequences of an Israeli ground assault on Gaza.

He said, “Such an operation will lead to significant casualties and damages to civilians, while the most important issue is to stop the bloodshed.”

On Wednesday, May 18, the Russian President supported establishing an “independent Palestinian state.” He criticized the United States for not actively pursuing a viable solution to the Israel-Palestine conflict. Putin cited the escalating tensions in the Middle East as a glaring illustration of American policy failure.
