Rocket hits house in Baghlan leaving one killed, two wounded

Baghlan-Police HeadquartersA rocket has landed on a house in Pul-i-Khumri, the capital city of northern Baghlan province, leaving one person killed and two others wounded.

Local officials believe militants might have aimed the rocket to hit government compounds but it landed on a house in the area.

The police headquarters and governor house are located close to the site.

Those wounded are children of the one killed in the incident.

Baghlan police spokesperson said the rocket was fired from Dand-e-Ghori area where a crackdown has been launched against Taliban.

Taliban have not yet commented on the report.
