Around 7:30 a.m. on Monday morning, a roadside mine exploded in the Pul-e-Charkhi area of Police District 12 in Kabul city.
Two civilians were injured in the blast.
Kabul police confirmed the blast, saying the mine was planted in a culvert that targeted passer-bys at the location.
The purpose of this explosion is still unknown.
Meanwhile, officials told media that a security force member was killed in a clash with the Taliban in the Qarabagh area of Paghman district.
Health officials confirmed at least four civilians killed and 34 people, including police and civilians, wounded in last night’s car bomb explosion in Maiwand district of Kandahar. Among the wounded are women and children.
Meanwhile, nine Taliban militants were killed in reciprocal attacks and an airstrike in the Zari district of Balkh on Monday, as a result of the operation several Taliban strongholds were captured by the ANA, MOD reported.
