Helmand province(A)According to local authorities in southern Helmand province of Afghanistan, at least 3 Afghan kids were injured following a roadside improvised explosive device blast.

The officials further added the incident took place on Sunday evening at Nawzad district.

Nawzad district Syed Murad Agha confirming the report said the incident took place after the vehicle carrying the children struck with the roadside bomb.

He said the health condition of children are critical.

Roadside bombing and use of improvised explosive device is the chief weapon of the Taliban militants and other insurgents in Afghanistan to target Afghan and coalition security forces however Afghan civilians also become victim of such bombing.

No group has so far claimed responsibility behind yesterday’s incident.
