Adelaide Strikers re-signed Afghanistan’s leg-spinner for the upcoming 10th season of Big Bash League (BBL).
Rashid khan who currently is playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL, is thrilled and excited to be part of the 10th BBL season.
“I’m so happy that I am able to play for the Strikers again in a big tenth season of the Big Bash, and I have loved this competition from the very beginning,” Adelaide press release quoted Rashid Khan.
“The Strikers have been like a family to me since I joined them, and I am so thankful to the fans who have been supporting me and made me feel like Adelaide is my home,” Rashid Khan added.
“Rashid has been such a quality player and person for the city of Adelaide and the Strikers from the moment he arrived,” Jason Gillespie, Adelaide Head Coach, said.
“We’re thrilled his world-class bowling and exciting batting will continue to entertain our loyal fans, and we want to again be challenging for a second title when the tournament begins,” the former Australian pacer added.
Rashid has reportedly, snapped 56 wickets from just 40 BBL matches and is currently the 3rd-highest wicket-taker for the Adelaide Strikers.
The club also has released a short trailer on his return, putting fans and viewers in excitement.
The Big Bash league is expected to launch their 10th season this December.
