The International Cricket Council (ICC), on Monday named Afghan leg-spinner Rashid Khan as T20I Cricketer of the decade.
Despite his international debut in 2015, Rashid khan turned one of the most successful bowlers in the cricket world.
Putting batsmen under consistent pressure and his expertise in bowling quick leg-spin googlies have earned him accolades during the time, he achieved 89 wickets in total of 38 T20 matches.
Rashid has led Afghanistan’s cricket team to many victories, giving the top teams a good challenge, and remains most sought in T20 leagues, and in IPL, BBL, And CPL overtime.
He was born in Nangarhar province of Afghanistan in 1998, his biggest secrete is in the accurate googly.
Tendulkar had once termed Rashid as the best T20 spinner in 2018, he added: “I always felt Rashid Khan was a good spinner but now I wouldn’t hesitate in saying he is the best spinner in the world in this format. Mind you, he’s got some batting skills as well. Great guy,”.
He also became Afghanistan’s first IPL millionaire after Sunrisers claimed him at an auction for $.1.4 million.
Rashid currently plays in the Big Bash League and also has his cricket skills shown in other leagues.
