The Qatari emir stressed the need to prioritize dialogue and diplomatic engagement among all parties, warning against further escalation at a time of heightened uncertainty across the region.
The statement added that Trump praised Qatar’s role in supporting mediation efforts led by Pakistan and facilitating communication channels between different parties involved in the crisis.
Qatar has intensified diplomatic contacts in recent weeks as tensions between Iran and the United States continue to raise concerns over regional security, energy supplies and maritime trade routes.
Doha recently hosted senior Iranian officials, including Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Abbas Araghchi, as part of ongoing diplomatic consultations concerning the crisis.
Qatar has frequently acted as a mediator in regional conflicts and has maintained working relations with both Washington and Tehran, positioning itself as a key diplomatic intermediary during periods of regional instability.
