At a meeting yesterday, the Cabinet approved the request of the Ministry of Education to start public school classes from grade 1 to 10.

The Presidential Palace said in a press release that a cabinet meeting chaired by Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani was held at the ARG on Monday.

At the request of the Ministries of Public Health and Education, the Cabinet approved the start of attendance for the remaining classes (1st to 10th) of public schools in the center and provinces starting next week, 3rd of October 2020.

Before this, the attendance courses of all the classes of private schools and the eleventh and twelfth grades of public schools had started from the first day of the ‘Shamsi Hijri calendar’.

The start of in-school classes in the country has been delayed due to the outbreak of the coronavirus.
