Allah dad Fedaee, Police chief of Maidan Wardak province was suspended over giving the order of shooting at the protesters in Behsud district, a few days ago.

In a statement, the Ministry of Interior said, an investigation was conducted and people who took part in the protest were unarmed.

MoI said the demonstrations turned violent, 11 people were killed and 31 were injured.

Fedaee was referred to Attorney General’s Office for investigation, and in the meantime, the commander is suspended from his duty.

Interior Ministry expressed its condolences to the families of the dead and wish a speedy recovery for those injured.

The statement concluded that administrative departments in the district will be reactivated and services will soon be delivered to the public.
