Afghans protestAccording to reports hundreds of local residents in Tagab district of eastern Kapisa province on Saturday protested against the coalition security forces.

The protesters accused international coalition forces for killing to civilians in this district during the military operation conducted on Friday night.

In the meantime Abdul Qadir deputy district police chief said all those killed during the military operation were Taliban militants.

This comes as earlier reports suggested a woman was killed during the military operation conducted by special forces in Tagab district.

Over the past few months, night raids by the US-led forces have resulted in many civilian casualties in Afghanistan. The raids have increased tensions between Washington and Kabul.

President Hamid Karzai has denounced the killing of innocent civilians, including women and children, in recent attacks by coalition forces against which has generated anti- American sentiments among Afghans.

In the coalition air strikes on April 6 in the eastern province of Kunar, 11 Afghan children were reported to have been killed and six women injured.
