It has been acknowledged by Afghan Presidential Office that prison break in Kandahar seems to facilitated from the inside of prison.
While the escapees confirms the prison break was planned by three senior Taliban commanders.
Over 470 prisoners, most of them known to be Taliban escaped through a tunnel from Kandahar Jail in Southern Afghanistan on 24th April 2011.
Taliban spokesmen said, “Digging of this tunnel took five months and finally we succeeded.”
65 prisoner have been recently re-arrested, said the government official.
