Saturday, August 27, 2011 – According to a statement issued by presidential office said, Afghan president Hamid Karzai left Afghanistan on Friday night for Saudi Arabia.

The statement which was issued by presidential office on Saturday further added, a group of high level Afghan officials are also accompanying Afghan president Hamid Karzai during his tour to Saudi Arabia.

According to the statement, Afghan president Hamid Karzai with his team will hold talks with Saudi officials on regional peace, bilateral ties and issues of interest to both sides.

The statement also said, president Hamid Karzai will also perform hajj and visit other holy sites during his stay in Saudi Arabia.

According to the statement, the high level delegation which accompanies president Karzai includes Foreign Affairs Minister Zalmay Rassoul, Interior Minister Bismillah Muhammadi, Water and Energy Minister Ismail Khan and several other government representatives.
