President Ashraf Ghani has Abdul Hadi Arghandiwal, Finance Minister from his position and appointed a new acting minister.
Administrative Office of the President said in a statement, that the reasons for dismissing the Arghandiwal are Lack of commitment to good governance, weak management, not obeying article 77 of the constitution, delay in the collection of taxes, violating presidential decrees and orders, lack of cooperation in the assessment of illegal appointments and not preventing it.
According to the released statement, Mohammad Khalid Payenda, who previously worked as the deputy minister for the Finance ministry was appointed as the new acting Finance Minister.
Arghandiwal was appointed as the new acting minister last year in the month of March, he also had received a vote of confidence in November 2020 from the Lower House of Parliament.
