President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani conferred medal on a Senior NATO General in Afghanistan for his work and cooperation with Afghanistan in the framework of the NATO-led Resolute Support Mission.
The Office of the President, ARG Palace, said President Ghani conferred the Ghazi Mir Bacha Khan High State Medal on Christopher K. Haas, Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategy and Plans for Resolute Support Mission.
According to ARG Palace, the medal was conferred during a ceremony organized in ARG Presidential Palace on Sunday evening.
A Presidential decree was read during the ceremony which states that General Christopher Haas has done appreciable services in various sectors during the period of his service in the framework of Resolute Support Mission, particularly facilitating and advising on strategic support and strengthening good relations.
In his turn, Gen. Haas thanked President Ghani for the High State Medal and for the appreciation for his services.
Gen. Haas further added that he is pleased to have served in Afghanistan and will always remember the people of Afghanistan.
