President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani arrived in Maimana city, the provincial capital of northern Faryab province earlier today to visit flood affected families and inaugurate a number of projects in this province.

The Office of the President, ARG Palace, in a statement said President Ghani arrived in Maimana city to visit flood affected families in Faryab.

The statement further added that President Ghani will also inaugurate some public welfare projects besides meeting with people of the province.

In the meantime, Presidential spokesman Shah Hussain Murtazwi has said President Ghani will lay the foundation stones of Maimanagi Cultural Complex and water distribution network, inaugurate maternity hospital, and lay foundation of Abu Hanifa Grand Mosque during the first day of his visit to Faryab.
