American media outlets, citing their sources, have reported that the Islamic Republic of Iran is actively involved in a plot to assassinate Donald Trump, the former President of the United States.

Politico, in a report published on Tuesday, July 16th, cited two American officials claiming that the Biden administration has received information regarding Iran’s efforts to assassinate Trump.

The report indicates that the Islamic Republic of Iran is actively working on a plot to assassinate Donald Trump, despite Trump narrowly surviving an assassination attempt four days ago.

CNN also reported that following the publication of reports about the Trump assassination plot, the U.S. Secret Service has intensified security protections.

Axios news network has also reported that the U.S. intelligence community had information about Iran’s attempt to assassinate Trump in the weeks leading up to the failed assassination attempt.

It is noteworthy that none of these media outlets directly linked the unsuccessful assassination attempt on Saturday to a scheme orchestrated by the Iranian government.

Iranian authorities have not commented on the matter thus far. However, Iran’s mission to the United Nations in New York dismissed CNN’s report in its initial response, describing the allegations as “baseless.”

Reports of Iran allegedly plotting to assassinate Donald Trump have raised tensions and led to increased security measures by U.S. authorities. Despite denials from Iranian officials, this highlights ongoing geopolitical tensions and complicates international relations and regional security efforts.
