Protests spark as Los Angeles ass police shot Dijon Kizzee, a 29-year-old black man during a confrontation on Monday.

The victim was bicycling when the deputies tried to stop him for a vehicle code violation, by approaching Dijon, he got off the bicycle and ran.

Sheriff’s Official Dean told reporters that the police caught up the suspect and while getting closer, Dijon dropped items out of his pocket and punched a deputy in the face.

The shooting occurred when the police realized one of the dropped items was a black semi-automatic handgun, that is when the sheriffs opened fire, shooting the man several times.

Following the shooting, the black lives matter activists called for a protest in the area, as many as 100 people have gathered on Monday evening.

None of the deputies were equipped with body cams during the incident, which sparked the mood of protesters.

It comes as President Trump visited Kenosha of Michigan to back the law, Due to another civil strife that had occurred over the shooting of Jacob Blake that left him paralyzed on 23 August.

Biden has accused Trump of racial division saying, “fires are burning and we have a president who fans the flames rather than fighting the flames”.

Since the death of George Floyd on the 25th of May, racial issues in the United states have flamed up.
