Police killed would-be suicide bomber in Ghazni province

suicide bomber shot dead in GhazniThe Afghan National Police (ANP) forces shot dead a would-be suicide bomber before he manage to carry out an attack in southeastern Ghazni province.

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) said the suicide bomber was looking to detonate a motorcycle packed with explosives in Shakhook village of Andar district.

MoI further added that the bomber was identified and shot dead by the police forces before he manage to carry out an attack.

According to MoI, the Afghan police forces and the ordinary civilians have not suffered any casualties.

The anti-government armed militant group have not commented regarding the report so far.

This comes as a suicide bomber was shot dead by the Afghan security forces before he manage to carry out an attack in central Logar province of Afghanistan.

The Taliban militants have been attempting to carry out attacks across the country since they announced their spring offensive earlier in April this year.

However, the Afghan forces have stepped up counter-terrorism operations against the militants of the group and have managed to thwart numerous coordinated attacks in various provinces of the country.
