The Ghazni police commandment has promised strict actions against the perpetrators involved in looting the properties of the people during the Taliban attack on the provincial capital of the province.

According to a statement released by the Police Commandment of Ghazni, a number of the local residents of Ghazni city also looted the properties of the people besides the Taliban militants who looted the government and commercial properties.

The statement further added that the security forces have received some documents regarding the involvement of certain people in looting the public properties, vowing that the perpetrators would be arrested soon.

The Police Commandment of Ghazni also added that the national defense and security forces are always prepared to protect the lives, properties, and the dignity of the people.

However, the Police Commandment added in its statement that certain people committed crimes to loot the properties of the people while joining hands with the enemies of the country.

This comes as the Taliban militants launched a large scale attack on Ghazni city, the provincial capital of Ghazni province two weeks ago, sparking heavy clashes that lasted for several days.

Although exact figures are not available regarding the casualties inflicted on militants, security personnel, and the civilians, but reports indicate that the ordinary people suffered heavy casualties during the attack besides the public properties were severely damaged.
